Title: Account Executive- Europe
Position Overview The Account Executive- Europe is responsible for military sales of Sea Machines Maritime autonomy products and sensors, sold as a kit, or served as a service to Government fleet owners. The individual takes the lead in responding to RFI’s and RFP’s as well as proactively finding, creating and tracking business opportunities across Europe.
This role requires proactive salesmanship and an individual with tenacious character. The individual must possess a strong understanding of workboat machinery and sensors, as well as specific knowledge of EU & member state contracting processes.. The right candidate possesses a strong network specific to the marine industry supply chain with general knowledge of international Maritime regulations and rules. The role requires excellent writing skills in English and the ability to effectively promote Sea Machines technology at marketing events and industry panels. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Global Sales and is based in Europe, with a preference for Poland.
Primary Objectives and Traits
- Create new opportunities by following activity in the marine industry and Government requirements
- Form winning proposals in response to RFI’s and RFP’s, deliver on quarterly and annual sales objectives.
- Able to lead and participate in external teaming efforts with other companies to make the winning solution.
- Diligently and swiftly respond to qualified contacts from web registrations, promotions, events and other marketing and sales activities.
- Organize the preparation of compelling presentations and deliver with excellence.
- Lead demonstration efforts and organize on water sea trial events and customer training/exercises.
- Track, maintain & cleanse the digital database, and enter sales and new business data in CRM.
- Research and contribute to fresh ideas for the content marketing team
- This position requires experience in a startup environment or demonstration of work in fast paced and dynamic environment with a track record of market growth.
- Experience with marine industry software, USV offerings, or Captain’s Credentials are all favorable.
- Expert knowledge of marine vessels, navigation equipment and vessel systems.
- 5-10 years experience working in the Marine/Maritime industry in a sales/marketing role.
- University degree in Business, Engineering, or extensive “At Sea” time in a leadership role within military.
- Willingness to travel 50% Tier one writing and presentation skills, and able to maximize use of MS Office capabilities.
